The Hopper Pub and Pizzeria

Hand down, this is my favorite pub in Rio Rancho! The staff is always so welcoming, the food is top notch, and the beer selection is always fantastic! The Hopper is like the bar in “Cheers” because everybody knows your name, and there’s never a dull moment whether it’s watching one of the many live bands performing nightly, or sharing a laugh with one of the patrons! The owners are wonderful people and make you feel like family when you meet them! If you haven’t come out to The Hopper before, I highly recommend coming with your whole family to enjoy the atmosphere and some of the hottest live music in Rio Rancho! Special shoutouts to Cienna, Amanda, Aliyah, and Liz behind the bar; and to Manda and Phoebe in the kitchen!!

Been here several times and for the most part have always had a great experience. The food is good, the atmosphere and live music are fun, and the staff is friendly… especially the short brunette; She always gets it done and takes great care of us!!

They turned me away because they thought my out of state ID was fake. Apparently the photo background wasn't blue enough? Since l received this ID from the state of Minnesota (legally, might l add) l have rightfully used it to board airplanes, book hotel rooms, rent apartments, gain employment, and yes, BUY ALCOHOL! And now your staff wants to tell me it's not blue enough!? I understand playing it safe when you don't know what you're looking at, and to the owner: good on you if you stand behind your employees' judgement, l would have turned someone away if l was unsure, too - but whatever that is came at the expense of a would-be patron who was excited to be there. I just moved here, and this last month has been pretty difficult for me to say the least. All l wanted to do was blow off some

First time I've been here since it was the Blue grasshopper and it was great had a wonderful time. The music from the band Night Moves was great! Our server was very good especially despite how busy it was, he did a great job. I wish I got his name, it was a Friday night January 9th 2026 Met the owner and he was a nice man as well. Friendly, neighborhood spot.
