The Great Lakes Coffee Roasting Company - Roastery/Headquarters/Office

This coffee is some of the best, if not the best!! I've put through my espresso machine. I highly recommend the Dark Horse!!

At the airport DTW. How does a bacon egg and cheese sandwich smell musty, funky. The bread smelled like bread and body odor. I would’ve overlooked it but the worker with all the black barbs piercing all over the face made me draw conclusions and just tossed the sandwich not worth the risk wasted money and time.

Coffee tastes burned, not once, always - horrible! We have very expensive espresso machines in the office, but the machines cannot change the flavor of burned coffee beans. Good intention of my employer to support local businesses. However the coffee beans of Great Lakes Coffee Roasting company have been tasting burned since my first cup in 2013 - unfortunately no choice in the office, thus I do not drink espresso but cappuccino, which covers part of the flavor. Most coffee drinkers know the reason for the burned flavor: roasting the coffee beans at higher temperatures reduces the process time --> less cost, more profit. At home I use delicious Lavazza beans! I support local businesses, but not in this case.

Coffee is great! While pricey, the cost is reflective of the quality of the beans, which are by far the best in the region.

Just an FYI this isn’t a coffee shop. It’s a corporate office. Wanted to help out and save someone else the trip!
