The Farmhouse

Beautiful place with ample parking nearby. However, it is not clear how to get to the restaurant from the parking lot (I ended up going the long way around)..not a big deal, but more evident signage would be helpful. All ingredients tasted fresh, just not prepared as well as expected. The breading was falling off from the calamari and didn't have much flavor, and the beat salad (though very good) was mostly greens with a small amount of beats at the bottom and one small ball of fried goat cheese on the side. My friend and I had a hard time hearing each other (especially when waiters were speaking with nearby tables). Fairly good place, but won't recommend or go again.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at The Farmhouse! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfectly balances upscale with cozy. The service was outstanding, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. The food was on another level. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor, clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can tell real thought and care goes into the menu, and everything we ordered exceeded expectations. The cocktails were equally impressive. This is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again.

To an outsider, both sides ascend to a level that transcends normality. The staff however clearly hold themselves to this standard daily in both their professional and personal lives, and it shows. Situated in the center of the bustling yet humble town of Needham, The Farmhouse is anything but quaint as its name would imply. Quick to become a favorite gem We’ve dined at The Farmhouse on several occasions, whether date night, couples night, or family night. Each offering has been individually notable as “that-was-worth-it” experiences. Last meal as a celebration to our daughter, we enjoyed an evening outside on the terrace high top- and wasn’t that fun for the kids. We enjoyed good apps, good drinks (cocktails & mocktails), great conversations and great mains. Fresh ceviche followed by savory shrimp fettuccine- perfectly cooked (poached?) tiger shrimp that melts in your mouth, with a clever saffron poisson sauce- and a surprise option, the tenderly-cooked duck breast with expertly roasted brussel sprouts and sweet potato purée. Came here with a large group for dinner. The atmosphere was okay but what really stood out was the great customer service. The waiters were so attentive. I got the vegetable risotto which was very yummy and well seasoned. The fried pickles were also tasty. Their red blend from Italy was delicious. Overall, a nice place and would recommend!
