I had two great experiences here and I'm not sure why there are sure such varied experiences amongst guests - perhaps there are very different chefs/servers depending on the hours? The review with the cheese plate does look very disappointing and appears to be at the same restaurant based on the menu and table but that wasn't our experience at all. We went for dessert/cocktails and everything was perfect and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. Drinks were well balanced and the dessert was a pair of cider donuts with cranberry gelee and hazelnuts... honestly even better than I expected. Staff was superb. Breakfast was theoretically expensive for eggs, sausage, toast, etc. but the quality was great and you're paying partially for the convenience of eating in your hotel. No complaints!

The food was ok. My husband and I didn’t necessarily love it, although the bread was good. The atmosphere very cosy and cute, service was nice. God bless the kid who sent us a bowl of WHOLE peppercorns when my husband asked for chili flakes 🤣. We got a good kick out of it. 5 stars.

This restaurant is top tier. Absolutely breathtaking views of the green mountain state. We go to the hotel Kimpton Taconic annually and this restaurant is attached. We splurge every year for breakfast at this restaurant and the food is always delicious and the staff is always super friendly even when we get new employees every time. We also bring along our 2 dogs Maple and Oakley for the ride to Vermont. Each year we progressively add new touches to our family. In 2025, we went with our 2 children it was a fantastic adventure filled with excitement and laughter. We love Vermont and we love this restaurant. Make your reservation today! 💚⛰️

Worst place I’ve eaten. I am not a picky person but I was not able to finish my risotto. Three others in my family also ordered it and left it to the side as well did I, I instead stuck to my salad! Another family member ordered the pork chop and was it raw! We sent it back and got it again RAW! Burgers weren’t cooked at the right temperature we asked for, we would ask for medium well and got fully well done. And it would be the opposite if we asked for well done we got medium rare. The server was lovely! She did her best trying to accommodate us to the issues we had! Overall would never go back. It was overly expensive for food we did not enjoy.

Server was lovely and attentive. Lamb special and Hamburger were delicious. Two people in my party ordered the braised chicken. Although the flavor and seasonings were good, the actual chicken piece (thigh and leg) were ridiculously small for a price of $36. There was very little meat to be eaten. Harissa carrots were tasty but overpriced for the size of the portion.
