The Clayton Magnolia Inn

The Magnolia Inn in Clayton NC is absolutely amazing. It’s a truly beautiful place to stay, and the Traveler’s Room far exceeded our expectations. The space was spotless, spacious, and full of thoughtful, intricate design details that made it feel special the moment we walked in. My son was thrilled by the telescope in the room and the bathroom came with makeup towels and extra fluffy robes.|The location is perfect, too. The inn is just a short walk from the heart of downtown Clayton, where you’ll find charming local shops, great food, and plenty to explore. There was so much to explore. It made our stay feel both relaxing and convenient.|We genuinely loved our experience and can’t recommend The Magnolia Inn enough. If you’re visiting Clayton, this is the place to stay.

My husband and I spent a weekend getaway at this charming bed and breakfast It was perfect to relax and unwind while it put us close to being able to visit with family in North Carolina. This beautifully restored bed and breakfast is full of old-world charm, with stunning landscaping, a wraparound porch, and cozy tea rooms/meeting rooms on the first floor. The upstairs guest rooms are very clean and uniquely themed—like the Wanderlust Room and The Library. Every detail is thoughtfully curated. We stayed in The Library and loved its coziness.|The young couple who run the inn are gracious, well-traveled hosts who bring a global touch to the experience. We were moving from Clayton to Selma and needed a place to stay the night before closing. We always enjoyed staying at B&B's and after visiting their website we booked a room. Jordan greeted when us when we arrived, even though she was in the middle of doing some painting. The architecture of the inn was incredible and well restored. We stayed in the Colonial room which was exquisitely decorated with several what appeared to be antique pieces. Ordering breakfast from the menu the night before with the time you wanted to eat was great. We both ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. A few minutes before our 7:30am request we sat down at large table where there were two place settings already set for us. Beautiful home with comfortable beds. The character, history and details of this home are amazing. The location is great, as they are just a couple of blocks from downtown. Good food in the downtown area. The owner Jordan and Tom were spectacular host. Talking with Jordan, I learned that she is a Marine Veteran. I truly appreciate her service to our great country. She has a fabulous personality. If you wish to get away for a short stay, The Magnolia Inn is the place to go. It has southern charm that is located in the cozy town of Clayton, NC. Just a side note, Clayton, NC is one of the fastest growing towns in NC. It is just 15 minutes southeast of Raleigh.

Love this place!! I took my grandkids for a little getaway and Jordan and Tom were the best hosts and the included daily breakfast was delicious! Breakfast was great and location was in the heart of downtown so walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Super close to Raleigh as well if you’re looking to venture into the larger city but have a quiet relaxing place to wind down definitely recommend!!
