Celtic Creamery Clayton

My boyfriend was trying to be sweet and surprised us with ice cream sundaes on his way home. We get all comfy on the couch, so excited to demolish these beautiful, picture-perfect Oreo and Cookie sundaes… only to take one bite and immediately question our life choices. I cannot stress this enough: do NOT recommend. They looked like they belonged in a commercial. They tasted like they belonged in a chemistry lab. Straight chemicals. Plastic. A hint of “did this expire during the Obama administration?” I would’ve happily taken a $2 McDonald’s cone over whatever science experiment we just endured. If you enjoy notes of freezer burn with a smooth plastic finish, this is your spot. If not… maybe keep driving.

This place is outstanding, the cookies, brownies and homemade ice cream are all of extreme quality. Can't wait to go back.

Fell in love with this location too. Happened by the other day and I didn't realize this was here. Knew of and enjoyed the smithfield location. There is also parking in the back. The quality of the product speaks for itself. Love the waffle cones.

Passed by the one in Smithfeild several times so we were really excited when this one opened in downtown Cleveland area. Ice-cream was delicious and the counter staff were nice. My husband got the Affogato and some baked goods and loved them. We hope that in the future they'll add some benches or chairs to sit outside and enjoy!

We had such a great experience at Celtic Creamery Clayton! I ordered the Awful Good Brownie with Heavenly Heath icecream and my husband had the Bourbon Pecan—both were absolutely delicious. You can really taste the difference in their homemade ice cream. I also appreciate that they offer a nice variety of gluten-free options, which is a huge plus! The creamery was clean, the staff was super friendly, and the family friendly atmosphere is just perfect. You can sit on the front porch, relax inside, or enjoy the picnic tables out back. Such a charming spot and a fantastic addition to the Cleveland community—we’ll definitely be back!
