The Carolina Tavern

I was there today. Nice place to hang; TV's everywhere with ball games. Bartender was a bit forgetful, but nice. I went there specifically for the fish and chips which I heard was really good. Well, the chips/fries were very good, however, the fish was not cod as advertised and it was worse than I could get in the freezer case at the local Publix. I brought most of it home but will probably feed it to the dog. Bartender told me they recently changed the fish. I would recommend leaving it off the menu. It turned a nice experience to a big disappointment. This place has a lot of good food, but this brings them down a notch.

Overall is good. Ribs are good and chicken sandwich is ok, small portion and sweet potato tots aren’t worth the side. Chili cheese fries are excellent. Service is good and atmosphere is ok. Lack of parking lot light is a safety concern. Hopefully they have surveillance cameras. Kind of an odd location. Not overly loud, either by customers or tvs.

The food here is amazing! Couldn’t think of a better place to get wings, the prices and the service are the best in the county! Amanda, Alexa, Penelope were the best!

Saturday dinner with my husband. We waited to be seated, no problem. Our waitress was not the friendliest, but she wasn't rude either. We ordered some drinks at a booth, due to the bar being completely full. The drinks were watered down. We ordered 2 cocktails a piece. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp and Buffalo chicken dip, they were okay. We ordered the Cajun honey, lemon pepper, and Cajun wings. They were extremely salty. We tried to brush the dry rub off and use ranch, but the Cajun honey could not be helped. Out of 30 wings we tried to eat maybe 7.

We went here with a group of 7 after we weren't served at another restaurant nearby. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly face. Madison was our server and she did an excellent job. The service was fast and the food was delicious. I will definitely go back when we are back in the area.
