The Boatyard at Smokey Joe's BBQ

The Gumbo soup was DELICIOUS!!! The BBQ ribs were good. The brisket a little dry and the pork good. But did I tell you the Gumbo was fantastic?! I ordered a second serving to take out. Went back for more deli cious Gumbo today. Ordered a BBQ sandwich and the kitchen didn't give me anytime to eat my Gumbo. Fries were cold by the time I was ready for them. Hate when there is no course timing coordination at some restaurants. BBQ meats were tasty. Returned for more Gumbo- Incredibly DELICIOUS! So good I ordered 2 more containers to Go to enjoy later. I had a Boathouse Burger - it had pulled pork on it and cole slaw- good! 1/24/24 Back again for GUMBO with Andoie (sp) sausage- FANTASTIC! Awesome rare find; BBQ at his best, delicious Louisiana Gumbo and good desserts 🍮🫶🏻 Best of all prices!!! In accordance with the 80’s music 🎶 Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere 🤘

One star at best. Don’t expect your burgers to have any lettuce, onions or tomatoes. Even if it says so on the meniu. Also, expect them to be rude as hell when you call them to ask about missing items. Also, don’t expect them to call back even if they say they will. Avoid this place ar any cost

The food was delicious and the drinks are amazing. Definitely not the heavy on the stomach but definitely filling. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. I had a great time and can’t wait to go back for more!

It started off well. The wings were great and then it fell off a cliff. The BBQ platter I ordered was dry. The brisket was not tender. It was overcooked. The smoked turkey had a Sandy texture, as it was that dry. The ribs were so so, but also very dry. Would not recommend this place. And the bathroom ceiling was leaking and they didn't even warn anyone. #ALToRnativeReview #ALToRnativeFacts
