I recently had dinner at The Ballard Cut, and it was truly an incredible experience. My friend ordered the 40-ounce steak, while I had the aged New York strip, and both were outstanding. I haven’t tasted a steak that good in a very long time — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Mine came with an espresso rub, which I didn’t personally love since it was a bit strong for my taste, but still enjoyable. The green chimichurri butter on the side didn’t add much flavor, though the steak honestly didn’t need it — it stood out beautifully on its own. The sides were just as memorable. The smashed crispy potatoes were amazing — crunchy on the outside, creamy and soft inside. We also had the green beans, which included both light yellow and dark green beans, and they were delicious and fresh. The

Everything was incredible. From the perfectly cooked proteins and paired sauces to the delicious sides. The plating of each dish was a showstopper. They also offer whiskey flights with a deep knowledge of each. This is a must try for the delicious food and the expansive selection at the bar.

I finally got a chance to visit this place after hearing about it for a while now. If you like whiskey and good food, this is the place to go to. Their selection of Japanese whiskey and bourbon is one of the best in town. We were able to try some rarer scotch and bourbon, which made my day. Their food program is pretty solid as well. We ordered the special Tomahawk to share with the table as well as a salad and crispy pork belly. The owner here is very knowledgeable about the spirits he carries. It was nice of him to ask us what we wanted to try and our price point. He then curated a tasting for us. Overall, the service was great and hospitable. I would come back here again when in the area.
