Thai Basil

My new favorite place in Santa Cruz! The chicken dumplings were delicious. The dishes have spice level options of 1-5. We got 2 and 3 and both were very spicy but delicious! The curry and the fried rice were very flavorful. Will definitely be back!

We went to this restaurant last Saturday for an early dinner. There were no other people at the restaurant when we arrived. We were not even sure if they were open because the entrance door was closed and there was a huge lock on it. The server brought us water and the menus and wanted to take our order right away. We asked for a few minutes since we were not familiar with their menu. We asked for fresh vegetable rolls to start with and the server just wanted to rush us to order everything we wanted. We asked him what dishes he would recommend for someone who is on a plant based diet? He didn't seem to understand the question and when I elaborated he said that the wok dishes. However, there was nothing marked on the menu about wok or anything else. He seemed to be annoyed when I asked him

What a great little spot! We stopped by to grab take out and ended up staying to eat inside instead. The service was great and attentive and the food was delicious! We did the fresh spring rolls, pad see ew, and yellow curry with level 2 spice. We devoured it all and enjoyed every single bite. Cant wait to go back!

Fantastic vegan pad thai, the chef put a lot of time into perfecting a balanced and thoughtful pad thai sauce. They’re also very careful with cross contamination which we really appreciate. Cozy, family restaurant vibes. This is our new favorite thai place in the whole Bay Area, highly recommend it!

I recently moved to the area and decided to stop by for a light lunch to sample the food. I ordered the fresh rolls and the veggie soup. The peanut sauce that accompanied the fresh rolls was delicious. However, the soup was quite lacking in tofu and vegetables, as it was mostly broth. Flavors were good, so I would definitely come back for dinner, but would not get the soup again.
