Tavern Steakhouse Libertyville

We went here for my birthday as a family and had eight people. Saturday night, server was great and they were very accommodating. And even though we had one steak that was overcooked the server didn't bat an eye when I asked him about it. He took it right back to the kitchen and brought me out a steak properly cooked. As a former chef and someone that really appreciates good food, I would highly recommend this place.

Best restaurant in town! The ambiance is beautiful, but the food was absolutely amazing. Portions were pretty hefty too. Our steaks were cooked perfectly.

The experience here is one to be worth a visit. I came for an after work steak and was rather pleased, though I have had better steaks elsewhere and for lesser pricing. They bring out fresh bread for you to select. The layout is nice and the vibe is so unique I cannot compare it to anything, decor is out of the world. Wish I could say same for the steak but the service was great.

We came here to celebrate my son’s recent achievement. It was the best steak we have ever had. And we are from California where steaks run wild in overpriced restaurants with high end names. It was so delicious, after one bite, we asked how long it would take to add another to our order. Melt in your mouth, perfectly cooked, most delicious steak we have ever had. Not being from the area, and being worried about time to get my son back in time while he was out on Liberty, I was anxious to find parking and get in to order. Following the directions from Great Lakes Naval Base, it took me directly to the front (street side) of the restaurant. I tried to paint a little map for others like myself. Expensive as all heck, but AMAZING food and really cozy, wonderful ambiance. Great service as well. Delicious drinks, everything cooked to perfection, and the lemon tartufo was life changing. Will definitely be back for special occasions.
