Tasty Tacos

I stopped into Tasty Tacos on a whim today, and I’m so glad I did. Didn’t even know I was in the mood for tacos, and before I knew it, I took down four! I ordered the Pork Belly, Carne Asada, Fish, and Al Pastor tacos. All were excellent and incredibly fresh, and the carne asada were nice big chunks of meat (not little shavings like other places). The place is only in its third week, and it’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The owner (Dara) and server (Maggie) were so kind and welcoming, and they have happy hour every day from 2-6p AND a taco tuesday deal (both have $3.75 tacos). I’ll definitely be coming back. I ordered the quesadillas and fries, and let me just say—these folks don’t play when it comes to portions. The quesadilla was big, loaded with meat and veggies, and had a great grilled flavor without being overly cheesy. Super tasty. The fries? I was expecting a regular portion and got hit with a mountain. Massive box. Crispy and well-seasoned—no complaints there. They also tossed in fresh-tasting tortilla chips, guac, and sour cream, which was a nice touch. The guac had a great texture and just the right amount of salt. Overall: Portions: 5/5 Taste: 4/5 Experience: Solid 5/5 Definitely coming back. Tasty, filling, and generous—what more do you need?

I tried tacos as they are cheaper in happy hours. They were all amazing, and I paricularly recommend fish tacos. The quality was way above my expectation with that price.

Had dinner here tonight on a whim and we are so happy with our decision. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and accommodating to our two children. The food was fresh and delicious. The cauliflower tacos were a definite favorite. Can’t wait to go back and try the new menu items. Definitely recommend. Will be back.

Delicious tacos, fresh chips. We had pork belly, which the chef is known for his expertise in. And, we had carne asada and chorizo tacos and guacamole. Very reasonably priced and great atmosphere downtown. We will be coming back!
