Tasty Spot Cafe Irvine

We first went to the Tasty Spot Cafe in Chino Hills and liked it, so we decided to try the Irvine location. The food was good—we ordered four dishes and enjoyed them. But the place was pretty loud. People were talking really loudly, and it made the space feel noisy and hard to relax. We’ll probably go back, but maybe just for takeout next time.

Their BBQ are so great especially the duck and the crispy pork! Egg custard baos are very good as well. Everything that I got during my visits were so good 👍🏻

This is one of the best hidden gems for canto food. The service is amazing. The waitstaff is always friendly, honest, and provide excellent recommendations for food. Even when the restaurant was full, we were attended to promptly and our food came to us with little wait. The portion sizes are large and often we needed a take out container as we couldn’t finish everything in one sitting. Furthermore, there is a large selection of authentic canto food and drinks. Highly recommend visiting this spot for Hong Kong food, definitely will be visiting again.

We’re lucky to have this gem in Irvine! My husband, who’s from Hong Kong and very picky about authentic Cantonese food, absolutely loves it here. We often come for breakfast—and their BBQ duck is a must: incredibly juicy and full of flavor!

Been coming here since I moved to Irvine 5 years ago. Big portions and the prices were decent. Will definitely recommend the lunar new year dishes and their fish! I have been hosting dinners here with former schoolmates and coworkers and the service was always great.
