Juan took great care of us ! One of the most authentic Mexican Restaurants I have been too in Wilmington…I love the Tacos- the tortillas are fresh and made by daily …. The salsas on the salsa bar offer all different levels of heat … today .. I tried one of the specials- fresh , yes fresh not frozen calamari- wow !!! Delicious… They do it right !

I love this place so much. The food is consistently great, and is the most authentic Mexican cuisine I’ve found in Wilmington. The service is always excellent, and I love the music they play too. I typically get al pastor tacos, and their rice and beans are incredible.

Basic Mexican restaurant environment, with delicious food! I had the fajita quesadilla with shrimp as my protein and it did not disappoint. The cheese was plentiful and beautifully melted with the shrimp, onions and peppers. The tortilla was perfectly crisp to hold the contents all together. It came with rice, beans, sour cream, lettuce and Pico de gallo. Decent meal for just under $18 and I had leftovers that I ate the next morning. The next time I'm back in Wilmington, I'll be going back to Taqueria Los Portales. I definitely recommend it!

I love the food here! The tacos are amazing. I usually get steak tacos or fish tacos. The guacamole dip was fresh, queso dip was good. The toppings/ salsa bar is great. I love the fresh cilantro and there is a green sauce that is incredible! The staff do not speak much English but they manage to get my order. This is one of my favorite dinner spots.

Been coming here for years and has gone from a 5 star place to a 1 star. They are obviously cutting costs and the cerviche that used to have shrimp and fish and be very good in basically onions with some avocado
