Take Your Pick

My husband, brother and I went to Take Your Pick for the first time tonight and we have not stopped raving about it since we left the restaurant! I got the salmon with Mac n cheese and collard greens, my husband got the buttermilk fried chicken breast with green beans and mashed potatoes, and my little brother got chicken tenders and fries. We all shared a few bites from each other’s plates and HANDS down, one of the best meals we have had here on the shore. Everything was seasoned perfectly, very fresh and not at all greasy- just absolutely delicious. Service was awesome, we were warmly greeted when we walked in and our server was super friendly! My kids came in yesterday for lunch and raved to me about how good it was. We decided to come in with them this morning for brunch, and let me just say, it was PHENOMENAL. From the amazing service, to the presentation, to the taste, everything was absolutely wonderful. 10/10 in every area, 100% reccomend coming in for a fantastic home cooked meal in a nice family environment. We will certainly be back!

We had heard about this restaurant but just got around to trying it! What a wonderful hidden gem!! The service was fabulous and they were very engaging! My fried trout was so delicious! Hubby had jerk turkey wings. Not shown were our sweet Thai chicken wings! The sauce was yummy and enhanced perfectly seasoned and fried chicken. Definitely going back! Want a really personal experience... stop by!

I ordered a wing basket and the fried chicken entree. People surely know how to fry some chicken around these parts. The fried chicken was good, but had wayyyyy too much salt in the seasoning. My Thai chili wings were horribly salty as well. That flavor isn't even supposed to taste salty. The wings were fried so perfectly, so I was a bit saddened. The fries didn't need the salt crystals that were topped upon them. My Mac n cheese wasn't horrible. The sweet potato suffle, wings, and Mac n cheese all tasted better the next day.

The food here is amazing and made to order. We had the honey old bay and lemon pepper wings, fish and grits and shrimp and grits and everything was on point!! Will definitely be back to try more menu items.
