Sweet Pea's Ice Cream

Sweet Pea’s Ice Cream has a great location and a welcoming vibe, and I can confidently say it’s probably the best ice cream spot in Ogunquit in terms of convenience and accessibility alone. Just a few blocks from the beach, it’s perfectly placed for a quick stop after a long walk on the sand or a day in the sun. You can reach it from multiple access points, which makes it an effortless detour whether you’re heading back to your car or strolling through town. The variety of flavors is genuinely impressive — they offer a wide range that looks fun, inviting, and perfect for families or anyone looking to try something different. But in terms of the ice cream itself, the quality tastes a bit on the cheaper side. It doesn’t quite have that fresh, creamy, homemade feel that truly great ice cream

I’ve been coming to Ogunquit for years, and every time I’m here I have to stop at Sweet Pea multiple times. Hands down the best ice cream! My personal favorites are the strawberry, Mocha Chip, and Death by chocolate.

The ice cream was good, the view was great. I'm giving four stars just because they don't let you try/sample ice cream flavors.

With a line all the way down the block waiting to get ice cream, not sure what else could sell this place. The coffee ice cream was very creamy in texture and incredibly delicious, while the staff was friendly. Our kids loved their ice cream - was well worth the wait!

Excellent quality ice cream, and great flavor options - death by chocolate and big green were huge hits! More than that, the staff were so nice and accommodating — even when changing orders several times with the kids! Great ice cream spot in a special town!
