The Trellis House

We spent the long holiday weekend at the Trellis House while visiting grandchildren who live in Freeport Our time at this beautiful bed and breakfast was outstanding. The decor and amenities are what a Maine vacation should be. What sets the Trellis House apart is the atmosphere created by the hosts Susan and Dee They are welcoming and offer the perfect experience for each guest. Every interaction with them is pleasant and kind. Their knowledge is always an added and appreciated perk. Breakfast is excellent in both quality and quantity. We had such an amazing stay at The Blue Shutters Inn! The owners and staff are incredibly kind and helpful. We were greeted with two glasses of champagne and a little surprise birthday cake in our room since we were celebrating my fiancé's birthday. It was such a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more special. The room and entire house is extremely clean, incredibly cute and thoughtfully decorated. The breakfast is TO DIE FOR! It’s located just a short walk away from the beach, downtown Ogunquit, and the Marginal Way. We’d love to come back!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at the Trellis House! We stayed at the Camden Cottage and the accommodations were great and welcoming. It felt like a home away from home! The breakfast each morning was also delicious and they are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions. Annie and Girard are the new owners and so kind! We enjoyed talking with Djata and Susan each day, we can't wait to come back!

Oh my we loved the Trellis House. We were not aware of just how popular a place Ogunquit Beach was and waited until late spring to start to book a room. I have some accessibility problems with stairs, etc but Trellis House filled the bill. It is a lovely cluster of small rooms and bedrooms etc. The landscaping is beautiful and breakfast (hot) comes with the rooms. Breakfast was great and very very good being something different every morning. The rooms are delightful and well designed with large bathrooms. It is quiet on the property and parking is for each tenant. There is happy hour at the main house daily and a night time treat for the residents. We enjoyed our stay at The Trellis House. We were in the Camden Cottage, which was very nicely decorated and gave us a bit of extra privacy. The breakfast and happy hours were a nice bonus. I was especially happy with the mocktail that was made for me at happy hour. The location is great, within walking distance of the Marginal Way and many great restaurants. We are looking forward to a return visit.
