Sweet Briar Cafe and Ice Cream

The food here is expertly prepared and service is friendly and efficient. First plan your food do you save room for the amazing ice cream! Don't miss salted caramel and black raspberry chip! We had pork and perogies, shrimp broccoli fettuccini & chicken portabella tower. All fabulous there are good vegetarian options too like a pumpkin ravioli we will need to try next time.

The stop was for ice cream sundaes. Strawberry shortcake sundae with fresh strawberries is one I would recommend. We have also been there for breakfast and brunch. Inside dining is small, but the staff is super friendly. If you are in Ambler, be sure to check them out.

I went to sweet briar today and we walk up and the employee doesn’t say a word. She had headphones on and we proceeded to order. Then she went got our order and she gave me mine and threw the spoon on the counter. Before she slammed the window shut I asked her for a new spoon and a lid and she was rude and turned around and got it and said nothing and closed the window. Also she was eating something behind the counter which is very unsanitary coming from someone that worked at a food establishment before. Unacceptable. I have never had a problem here before so it was unfortunate that today I did.

Ordered the S’mores Sundae, which main ingredient is Graham Slam ice cream, to go and in our way home we start saying why it tasted so much like toffee. We keep tasting but also noticed no crispy nuggets particular to the Graham ice cream. We go back to ask for the correct ice cream and they say there is no Graham ice cream available but he chose to replace the ice cream without notifying us. Is this a new policy or one irresponsible employee?

Was craving a sweet treat and stopped by this place after having dinner nearby. Loved the environment...the outdoor area had a large take-out window. There is also some seating there and on the adjacent lawn. I was happy to see lots of ice cream flavors to choose from...though I was a bit disappointed with the minimal chocolate flavored options available at that time. I ended up getting a small vanilla almond which I thought was okay. The prices are very fair for the various sizes. Staff was very efficient. Lots of street parking in the immediate area.
