Sushi Takumi Japanese Restaurant

I've been here for both lunch and dinner and never had a problem until today. I have recommended this place to others who have tried it and gotten negative feedback which puzzled me because I've never had a bad experience. The complaints were that the rice was overcooked, mushy and the rolls flavorless. Today I ordered rolls and sashimi to go and the rice was so wet and mushy I understand their complaints. It was unappetizing and the excess water took away all of the flavor, or they had no flavor to begin with. I wasn't going to leave a review, but after what I paid, I think it's only fair for others to know that you may or may not have a good experience here.

I love this place. As someone who loves sushi, I've tried a lot of places. Something about the way this place makes sushi is special. I love the Takumi Roll. I get it every time. That roll has the perfect balance of ingredients. Definitely give this place a try. Just don't park in the lot next door, because that's private parking for another property. You don't wanna get towed.

I ordered the sushi deluxe, but when I got home I realized it was actually sashimi. I went back to the restaurant to exchange it, but they refused. According to them, sushi means sashimi and if I wanted rolls I should have ordered “sushi rolls.” Very disappointing customer service. In the end I gave the food to a homeless person, who was very happy to receive it.

Amazing sushi place! It was very fresh and you could tell they use high quality ingredients. The place is small but very cozy!!! The salmon roll was amazing. I will definitely come back.

Ordered thru Uber Eats. All of the rice was gummy and not good. There was no crunchy in the crunchy roll. The gyoza were over cooked and gummy. The spicy tuna roll was not good at all. Edamame was undercooked and hard. Everything seems poor quality. I would not recommend this sushi restaurant.
