Dauphine House B & B

The Chanteuse Room was big and nice and cool/dark for those hotter days in New Orl. But the best parts about Dauphine House is the host, Karen, and the location. She goes above and beyond for guests with great tips, travel info. and insights having lived in NOLA before Katrina. Very clean, safe, and quiet. It's an older house and has that NO feel!

Excellent hospitality!! Ms Karen was an awesome host. Walking distance to Bourbon St. Convenience store and Port o Call right around the corner. Everyone in this neighborhood was nice. Will book again.

If you want peace and comfort, this is the place to be. It’s in the Marigny, a few blocks from Frenchman. The hostess is Karen wonderful. I’m torn in giving this wonderful, bed and breakfast a good review, because everyone will want to stay here, but I must share my trips with all who can also enjoy it. You must email first for availability, Karen responded to me within minutes. I had already had another room booked in the Quarter but ran into this little place by chance. I’m so happy I did. The rooms are small, but they have all you need. A bed, a fridge, a micro, a tub and shower. Karen had treats in hour room ready to go and a cake for my friend’s birthday (inquire about this). Its secure and SOOO quiet; a nice little outside courtyard to sip your coffee or talk with your neighbors. You

We stayed at Dauphine House for five nights at the beginning of June 2023. It was a getaway trip with my husband and a good friend. We had the two rooms in this intimate, comfortable, quiet, cool, clean, B & B. It’s got character and is in a great location just two blocks from the French Quarter across Esplanade in the Marigny, and just another two blocks from the unique, less touristic food & art scene, and nightlife of Frenchmen Street. The owner, Karen, was helpful and made us feel at home even before we arrived with recommendations for restaurants, directions, etc. It was a wonderful stay, and the small private courtyard was the icing on the cake. Karen may be the best host we've ever had, and we've traveled a lot! She is warm and friendly, an excellent communicator, and an invaluable travel guide to the city! I loved the info booklet she'd prepared with useful tips and we carried it around everywhere for our 4 day visit. The bedroom is small, but lovely, and the bathroom is large and has everything you need. There is little sunlight in the room and a tiny patio area, but we were only there at night and focussed on all the amazing things to see and do, so the location was ideal. We were able to walk or bike around the entire city easily and we grew to love the Marigny neighborhood and architecture, especially!
