Shazam and sweet corn on fire! Succotash is a genuine recall to the jazz clubs that founded New Orleans. Directly across from Louis Armstrong park this derby crown trophy restaurant deserves your patronage! Thomas will enchant you with his staff trolling out the tea carts carrying decadent delights of flavour! From starters that will pique your taste buds, to mouth watering entrees of menage a trois which will surely please, and then desserts that make you crave another evening! Don’t want a full meal then stroll to the back speak easy bar and saddle up!

We were very impressed by this new place! The colors and decor were visual delights, the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was spectacular. We ordered the salmon entree, okra appetizer, kale, pork belly and Gorgonzola salad, and both the crème brûlée and apple/pear popover for dessert. The sauces were so delicious we cleaned our plates. The owner/cook chatted with us and so did Thomas, the bar manager. We loved our cocktails. Mine was the passion fruit margarita. He even made me a new spicy marg he dubbed “Sum Like It Hot!” Fabulous!

I came in having no particular expectations and left feeling like I had just had one of the best meals of my entire life. Everything was so well executed and original that I ordered more than I normally would have just to see what I would get next. Space is absolutely gorgeous, tasteful, and intimate. Cocktail was fantastic; refreshing, original, balanced. All the tastes paired together well and were engaging, but still subtle and balanced. Frog legs, gumbo and crawfish, all fantastic and each brought something new that I had not experienced before. The vegetable sides like the succotash and the maquechoux were incredible, never had vegetables that stole the show like that. Best okra I have ever had and probably ever will have. Got the cheesecake just to see what would be next. Berries wit

What an amazing experience! From cocktails to appetizers, to entrees!!! Nothing disappoints! Best old fashion! Passion fruit margaritas ( with single origin La gritona tequila!) every one was perfectly made! Bisque and Gumbo was fresh and to die for!!! Beet salad and even Romain is burning was phenomenal! Our large group ate ribeye ( cooked to perfection!) salmon, Scallops and each was better then the next. One of our friends had a shell fish allergy and the manager and chef came to the table to make sure she was comfortable with her options! She ordered the gumbo and dirty rice and was beyond satisfied! Every single staff member was attentive and kind!!! What a wonderful experience!!!

Great new restaurant on N Rampart. Beautiful historical building. Don’t drive I recommend uber or Lyft it’s not really good parking Food is excellent! Cocktails are excellent and they’re still working on the wine list I’d like some more red choices. The staff was good and you could tell they were trying to make sure we felt welcome. I’ll definitely be back to try more on the menu. We had the Jacques, deviled offspring and the steaks were perfectly cooked. I loved the roasted garlic bulb and butter.
