Customer Reviews
As soon as I went here I had to look up the reviews and I was wasn't surprised at all. Everyone got the same story/recommendation. While adorable I don't review resteraunts based on stories being told, I rate them based on the food and unfortunately this place is bare bones. First, it is not a sub shop, it's a sandwich shop, even the Google description calls it a sandwich shop. They are all very simple, which would make sense for the cheap prices. Cheap bread, cheap cheese, cold cut meats. They are practically the same premade sandwiches you can find at QFC for $5 The Google menu is completely wrong, which is why I went there in the first place, expecting subs/variety. Instead it was like making a basic sandwich at home. Bread, mayo/mustard, cheese and a meat. His only recommendation
Is it just a typical subshop? Hell no! You'll be treated to the life story of the proprietor's 40 years on the job... and his harrowing tale of how he came to the U.S. And he makes a mean turkey sub!
Literally, the cutest place ever. He’s been around for over 39 years and super proud of it. Customer service is amazing. you feel like you’re part of the family And Feel so welcome! Great subs too. Definitely will be coming back. First timers should know it’s cash only. Fortunately, there is an ATM at the shop next-door.
Owner was the nicest guy in the world who had stories of his buisness, repeat customers and how he hasn't ever changed the price on his full boat sandwhich which has changed multiple times according to pictures online. It was advertised as 7 meats and 2 cheeses. I received 6 types of meat in super thin slices and only 3 slices of Kraft single cheese. Not a second cheese at all. All on 2 6 inch store bought bread. He said anywhere else I would pay 25 dollars. After a bag of chips, a soda and small tip I was out 20 bucks. Being that i work within walking distance i was excited to after talking to the owner and thought I would be a regular. But after false advertising and bland cheap food I wont be back.
While visiting the Seattle area, I made a random stop at lunchtime and what a treat it was! I had the #4 and a bag of chips, along with the owner’s stories and fabulous conversation. It was such a pleasure to meet someone so genuine and kind. I even bought a sub to have on my flight home to NY that night!! A MUST try place!!
