Stone House Musical B&B

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Stone House Musical B&B. The location is perfectly located with a short walk to downtown Natchez. It’s right in the middle of everything, but you’d never know it because it feels so secluded because of the surrounding nature. The cottage is great, with 2 outdoor seating areas, complete with the sound of water coming from a couple of fountains. But maybe the best part of our stay was Joe Stone, the owner, chef and incredibly accomplished musician. Don’t miss his artistry on His 1903 Steinway!

This past week I had a wonderful stay in the cottage at The Stone House in Natchez, MS. The cottage is very comfortable and cozy, yet spacious with two comfortably furnished bedrooms each with seating and a television, and they share a large bathroom. There are two separate furnished porches, one covered and one uncovered. Parking is handy and has easy access. It's within easy walking distance to all downtown attractions and restaurants and one day I even walked to the Under The Hill district. The host, Joe Stone, is a handsome and charming gentleman who could not have been nicer. I will be back!

Our stay at The Stone House Musical B&B was exceptional!!! Not only were the accommodations perfect for us, but the “Master Chef’s” breakfasts were some of the absolute very bests tgat we’ve ever had at a B&B. Although Joe is not a Master Chef, his creations and quality certainly measure up to one. You will also fine the owner, Joe Stone, to be very personable, knowledgable, and polite. Our one-night stay at Joe Britton Stone's lovely B&B was very, very special. He grew up in this very elegant house and has ensured its preservation by restoring the house and staying true to its history. His love for it is evident as he shares his extensive knowledge of the area, and tells the personal family stories gives information about the town's history. |My only regret about having chosen the Stone House is that we could not spend a week there. |The guest cottage is very private, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The area is quiet and relaxing. The bed was comfortable. We stayed at the Stonehouse during the Fourth of July weekend. The cottage was cozy and comfortable! The main house was amazing, filled with antiques of every sort, shape, and size! The grounds were great! We spent our evenings on the porch of the main house and/or the porch in front of our cottage listening to the Symphony of the frogs! Only problem was fighting mosquitoes, which is not to be unexpected during the summer. The owner and our host Joe was fabulous as well. He is entertaining, intelligent and knowledgeable about an entire array of topics from history to music to antiques! He cooks and serves a bountiful and delicious breakfast too! Unfortunately, we did not get to hear him play the piano as he was recovering from surgery as was his little dog, Precious.
