Stone Hearth Inn & Eatery

After a fed up experience at an Airbnb this was SO INCREDIBLE! We were met graciously by the owner and check in was a breeze. The fireplace in the room was so charming and everything was clean and well stocked. But THE FOOD. You guys. The food came out absolutely perfect in the coziest of dinning areas. The mushroom soup was exactly what I wanted after a day on the slopes and everything was freshly made and piping hot. Just when I thought that was the best, THE BREAKFAST was amazing too! The bread tasted home made and the waffles were so good. Everyone was beyond kind. This place seems way above 3 stars but worth every penny. I can’t wait to go back!

We really enjoyed our 5-night stay at Stone Hearth around New Year's. It was a perfect choice for my family of four for our winter vacation/adventure. Vicky, the inn-keeper/owner, is very kind, helpful, and accommodating. When we weren't skiing, snow-shoeing, sledding, or exploring nearby Vermont towns, we savored much-needed "downtime" and relaxed in the cozy and inviting common rooms downstairs -- the game room/library, the sitting room by the pellet-stove, the dining room with the scenic wintery views. We appreciated the history and character of the inn, built in 1810, with its original wide floor boards, beams, columns, and other architectural elements that contribute to its charm. We enjoyed breakfast, freshly prepared to order, and the books and board games that were on hand. V

This was a great stay for my husband and I! The warmth of greeting , the room and the whole atmosphere were a treat.|The food was phenominal! we were in Vermont for 5 days and ate in the Eatery every day.|The breakfast was included and dinner we paid for. The choices were excellent and the prices for dinner were very reasonable for exquisite dinners!|A return is definitely a must for us.

The “Sweet Heat” burger is a MUST! Favorite burger I’ve had in a very long time. Food is great on premise and as take out. Their sweet treats are delish as well

I would say the owner puts the hospital in hospitality. We had made a reservation for a specific room and. were told that it would be ready. Never received an email acknowledging that the room confirmation. The owner told us she was too busy at the time. When we arrived we were chastised for not parking in the correct location. Room we received was clean but the tv didn’t work, hot water was not available, like warm water was. Owner was off putting and grumpy when asked basic questions about wifi or if we could take a look at restaurant in case we wanted to eat there. At night a fellow customer was pacing the hallways like they were a soldier guarding Buckingham Palace. Breakfast was fair. I would expect better from CIA trained chefs. Won’t make a return visit to this place. Confirming my
