Mercantile on Main (M.o.Ms)

Lovely little bakery straight out of a Hallmark movie. The owner nicely remade my chai latte after the tea bag broke despite being a shop of one and super busy. The cinnamon bun was delicious. Light, chewy dough, perfectly sweetened but not overly sweet. It included a hint of nutmeg which was unexpected, different and delicious!

If you do like donuts, then you might have a favorite kind of donut - e.g. cider doughnut, or raised, or cake, or something else. Consider the analogy to ice cream: some people really like dense ice creams like Ben and Jerry's, other's prefer ice creams with more air mixed in, like Breyers, or Tillamook, and some find the inclusion of guar gum in the Wilcox recipe give it a delightful chewiness, while others would... eschew the guar gum. One of the best sandwiches of my life - the cranberry bread was made in house and was so fresh. My husband had the house sandwich with turkey and pesto, and it was phenomenal. We also ordered a hazelnut latte that was delicious. New fav spot!
