I guess for bar food it's ok. The salad, no choice of dressing just house dressing, Oil and vinegar, no tomatoes, just lettuce The crispy Buffalo Chicken was little Chunks of over seasoned buffalo chicken sauce. Too much lettuce. The sea dog was a thin piece of fried cod on a hot dog roll smothered in sweet cole slaw. The chicken Parm did not come with a foccia bun as advertised, just a hard roll, the flavor was good Everything served on paper plates. The waitress never asked us if we wanted refills on soda The bar was very loud you couldn't even hear eachother talking.
I had the pleasure of dining at Stella's Station in Saugerties today and I must say it was a great experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and the outdoor seating was perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather. I decided to go for the grilled chicken sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by its generous portion size on thick, home-baked bread. The fries were a delicious accompaniment. I also tried the Caesar side salad and steamers. The steamers were fresh and tasty, though I wish they had been served with a bit of broth or sauce. Overall, I highly recommend Stella's for a fun and enjoyable dining experience.
We sat out on the dog friendly patio. It was 82 degrees and a little overcast and it was perfect patio weather. Very relaxed pace, so just enjoy your time and enjoy the company. We got a lot of fried items that came out fairly quickly. The drinks took an extra minute but it was a great place and it was inexpensive and a it was a nice time.
It’s a cute little place that looks like it used to be an old gas station. The falafel wrap was good, though slightly spicy and so big I could only eat half of it. The coconut shrimp were very good, too. We had our dogs with us, so we could only sit in the outer patio, under an umbrella, instead of the inner patio, under an awning (which looked slightly cooler.) This was probably because of some local ordinance, though, and wouldn’t make a difference most of the time. They were very friendly otherwise and our food came out quickly. I would eat here again, if I was passing through town again.
Dog friendly eating area on the patio. Food was really good, especially the fries. Great atmosphere and service.
