This was my first time dining at St. James. We started with fresh oysters on ice, served simply with lemon and hot sauce. They were clean, briny, and incredibly fresh. You could tell right away that quality matters here. It was a great way to start the evening and made a strong first impression. I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavor, paired with creamy mashed potatoes and beautifully roasted broccolini. Cindy, our server, truly made the night. She was attentive and professional. She handled our group with ease, kept the timing just right. I was beyond impressed. Great atmosphere, exceptional food, and outstanding service from Cindy. St. James is a fantastic spot in Thomasville for a work dinner or special night out. I’m already looking forward to going back
We really enjoyed our first visit to this establishment. Food was properly seasoned and really delicious! I had the filet and it was great, wife had the 1/2 chicken which was cooked perfectly. I might not have prepared the broccolini “wood fired” as it was a little too smoked tasting, however it was cooked perfectly so minor complaint. Highly recommend this spot for a nice date night. Oh and we loved the oysters!
Simply the gold standard of restaurants in the South Georgia/North Florida region. Beautiful restaurant that perfectly balances high end food with all the best charm and warmth of the South. The menu is constantly changing with the core staples remaining. Everything is wood fired and served perfectly. The ownership and staff are beyond wonderful. This is a destination stop. Can’t recommend it enough.
St. James was overall a good experience with a beautiful interior and outdoor seating. There was a short wait to be greeted and the back room where we were seated was extremely cold. Our server was very kind and somehow it was the best Diet Coke I’ve ever had at a restaurant. For starters, we tried the deviled eggs (a noticeable pickle-juice flavor in the filling which might not be for everyone), calamari (borderline flavorful/salty batter), and sticky ribs (a bit overhyped and fairly average compared to reviews). For the main dishes, we ordered the filet, which was incredible and very tender, and the wagyu burger, which was excellent, almost like a real-life Krabby Patty. The fries were also very good. Our only issue was the wait time, as our plates took about 45 minutes to arrive and t
Food is always great. I love that thy change up the menu so you can try different dishes. We love Cindi our server. We always ask for her, very sweet and attentive.
