The staff was kind and accommodating to my requests. The food was delicious and exactly what I was hoping for. They have a designated section on the menu for vegan food. I used to eat a lot of Indian food and I had been looking for a while for this experience. Thank you 🙏🏼
We spent the whole morning at Williams College on a wonderful April Spring day. We walked all around with a tour guide constantly walking backwards. We were in an awkward group of people who you don’t know, will never see again and we didn’t know why they were there. Were they forced? Were they cajoled? Well, one place we were not forced or cajoled to go to was lunch at the Spice Root. One of the places the tour took us to was this nice little street near the campus with shops and restaurants. We love Indian food and we opted to NOT go to the campus cafeteria, frankly because our tour guide didn’t talk it up. Kind of bashed it. So we walked back to the SPICE ROOT as we had made a mental note of the location. We bumped into another family that was on our tour, but we sat down thinking it wa
The menu has a wide variety of options and the service is quick. It was also pretty empty inside the restaurant when we went. The Samosa were nice and crispy and Naan was soft, pillowy, and had a nice flavor. The Malai Kofta was good as well, but both that and the Aloo Gobi especially were lacking in spice and flavor. That being said, it was still an enjoyable dining experience.
Spice Root is a wonderful restaurant, that we enjoyed very much. The food is true and authentic, with each curry being prepared in accordance to what the dish requires - no generic base sauce here. The naans were sublime, fluffy, light and flavorful, a worthy complement to perfect chicken tikka masala and lamb korma and Highly recommended!
I recently moved out of the Berkshires and I miss Spice Root so much! The food is always delicious, fresh, and high quality. The restaurant is clean and service is friendly and helpful. If you're unfamiliar, I highly recommend you visit and support this wonderful local business.
