Southern Spirits

If you like flavored alcohol this might be your spot. With a name like this, I was hoping/expecting whiskey, bourbon, and maybe even some scotch choices to be plentiful. I was wrong. Pretty limited unless an entire shelf of flavored Crown Royal is your thing or another shelf of flavored idk what's. Then a shelf of tequila and vodka. Lastly a shelf of shine and some whiskeys just a couple of bourbons. Not Buffalo Trace or Woodford though when I went. Dewars is the only option for scotch 🤮. Disappointing. Only had a hamburger and some pretzel bites. The hamburger was a hamburger. Not fresh nothing spectacular. Wasn't bad. Pretzel bites were crunchy (aka burnt/overcooked) like a bag of pretzels from a store. Not what I was expecting so ate 2 and gave up on those. The restaurant wasn't busy wh

Wonderful service and my cherry limeade was fabulous! Hubs grilled chicken club was yummy as was my shrimp quesadillas. We would def come back. Also enjoyed outdoor seating and cornhole!

My co-workers and I stopped in here from out of town work. Lovely small town hole in the wall. Seemed more of an In-crowd kinda place, but live music, right on the downtown strip, cooked to perfection food, and full bar. Has a charming outside seating area to soak up the sun or the night life... Get the sweet potatoes fries with marshmallow dipping sauce.

Went to Southern Spirits for a rehearsal dinner during my stay in North Carolina. The private event space was absolutely massive! Everything was taken care of by the staff and those who coordinated the event. The parents of the groom ordered me chicken tenders from downstairs and they were the crunches and juiciest chicken tenders I ever had. Take notes, Zaxby's and Raising Canes! I went downstairs towards the end of the night and tried the fried pickles. This is the first time I have not gotten food poisoning from fried pickles like I have back in Florida. Even when I ate all my leftovers yesterday, the fried pickles stayed crispy and crunchy no matter what even after I put them in the fridge at the BNB I was staying at. Cool place. We stopped after having drinks at the GIA distillery. Wings were really great, enjoyed the pretzel bites and burger was good too.
