South Pasadena Public Library

It's a library. They have books. Those are those old fashioned things with words... But the words are on paper instead of on your phone. You can read the books at the library or you can borrow the books and take them home. They will let you know if someone else would like the book. Seriously, the people are nice and the place has a great deal of history and charm. There are typically a lot of patrons inside the library as well as in the little park outside the building. Along with the books, they have some great CDs, videos and even seeds you can check out -yes seeds. Finally, they have a great used book store upstairs where donated books are sold to raise funds for the library. This library is central to to community and embodies the spirit of the town.

Just the most beautiful old library and wonderful community. Always filled with avid readers. Historical vintage book auctions, art displays, and specialty bookshop make this place like a museum adventure in addition to a library. Community members love this spot to sit on the lawn to have tea, work on their weaving or another art or craft as it's a safe community space for all.

Wonderful library, they have a quiet zone, kids zone, teen zone, computer zone and few others. I've been coming to this quiet and peaceful library since 2005 when I was a kid. Growing up in South Pasadena schools I would always come here after school whether to do homework read or play games on the computers in the back. The librarians were always very kind. They have a wide selection of books and new books as well. It's a pretty big library. The outside park-like area with lots of trees is very beautiful. Perfect to read books on the grass in the shade on a summer day. Overall a wonderful library. A wonderful little book store on the second floor of the library, go up the stairs by the computer section.

A family-favorite location! My daughter looks forward to Ms. Leticia's storytime every week. The staff is friendly, the facilities are clean, the building is absolutely beautiful. Thank you South Pas Library!

Incredibly helpful librarians. They go out of their way for others. The library itself is a cozy place for reading and working.
