South Court Inn Bed & Breakfast

My wife and I had a fantastic 2 day stay at Joe and Shannon's inn. Our hosts were very friendly and we enjoyed the daily 3 course breakfast served at 9am. The accommodations were very comfortable, with modern features in the bathroom with heated floors. The location is great for a weekend in Shenandoah, with many things to do in Luray and a short 20m drive to the Thornton Gap entrance of skyline drive. I'd left a laptop at the inn, and our hosts very graciously shipped it to my home. Five stars!

We stayed at South Court Inn many years ago and knew it was in a charming town near where we wanted to hike (Shenandoah Valley). The entire house was clean and welcoming as were the new owners. Breakfast was enormous and delicious; different every morning. The house sits back from the street creating a buffer, although the town is pretty quiet. We will be back to enjoy visiting Shannon and Joe and staying in their lovely historic home.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We had a wonderful experience here for our anniversary. First, the house itself is incredibly beautiful and clearly well taken care of. They had a common living room for the guests to relax in which had books and board games. There was also an area for 24/7 water, coffee, and tea, and in the afternoon, a baked treat was available. We saw chocolate chip cookies and apple cider donuts. Bonus: There was a mini fridge with seltzer water. Second, we booked the Naturalist for the weekend and it was a wonderful room. The sheets were so soft and comforting. The bathroom was a bit small but had modern fixtures. I don’t know what the shower head was, but it was super nice LOL. I could’ve stood in there forever. I treated myself to a zen weekend at this bed & breakfast and it was the best decision I could have made. Shannon and Joe were great hosts. They had an uncanny ability of being there, yet invisible. Shannon provided so many great tips and recommendations based on my interests. The beautiful architecture and decor of the home combined with their attention to detail makes you escape from the world and pulls you into the moment. I chose a bed & breakfast because I wanted the luxury of a hotel and the comfort of a home cooked breakfast. Shannon didn't disappoint. Starting with the coffee tray at my room every morning followed by a three course breakfast, my days started perfectly. I will make this an annual treat to myself.

We stayed at the South Court Inn B&B to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we cannot say enough good things. From the moment we arrived we felt taken care of. From the recommendations for local sites and restaurants to the small touches like snacks, treats, and tea/coffee service every day to the amazing 3 course breakfasts that were absolutely beautiful and delicious! The grounds and inn have a historic feel that meet new age needs for a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back again!
