Piney Hill Bed & Breakfast and Cottages

Great spot to stay while you explore Luray and Shenandoah! We stayed here for a weekend of hiking along the Skyline Drive, and had a wonderful time in the Rosebud Cottage. In particular, the attention to detail with what guests might need sets Piney Hill apart. Of course there was plenty of variety in the things you would expect like coffee, tea, blankets, local guide suggestions, etc. But there were also things that you won't get in a regular hotel/motel: there were sandwich bags for hikers to pack their snacks in (which we did), and there were extra towels to use after playing in the river (it was February so we didn't). All together we had a great time, and are definitely planning on going back!

We had the best experience at the Piney Hill Bed and Breakfast and Cottages. Wiley and Hank were the best hosts, and we didn't want to leave- the place felt like home from the moment we arrived. We towed our motorcycle and planned to ride Skyline Drive. The location was ideal for us to set off each day to explore. We stayed in the Hurley Bird Cottage and everything about it was perfect! The place was clean and inviting. The picnic basket breakfasts that arrived each morning were a bonus, and each one was better than the one before. It was an excellent way to start our day. Everything about our stay was just right -- great location, wonderful hosts with great hospitality, and a place to call home for a few days.

Our stay at the Rosebud Cottage at Piney Hill B&B was absolutely 5 star. We were warmly greeted by Wiley when we first arrived and given a tour of our beautiful cottage. The room was perfect. Extremely clean, plenty of towels and pillows/blankets as well tea, coffee, and freshly baked cookies! The property is so beautiful, well landscaped and maintained. The food was INCREDIBLE. Breakfast was brought to us each morning in a picnic basket outside of our door. Couldn’t be any better or cuter!!! Hank and Wiley were both extremely personable and welcoming. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay with you!

We didn’t expect this would be such an unforgettable experience. The three of us were warmly welcomed while the hosts also fully respected our privacy. Breakfast was amazing. The food was creative as they were scrumptious and beautiful. It was SO clean at every corner and the rooms were packed with nice decorations. It faces the beautiful blue ridge mountains. And we loved the 1-month old Brody so much. The hosts were super nice!! If we had a chance to revisit this area we would definitely book this B&B again!

The best possible experience I could’ve imagined. It was so relaxing and beautiful. We stayed in one of the cottages (Rosebud) and I highly recommend the cottages for the view. Hank and Wiley are amazing hosts and Hank is an incredible baker. We would come home to treats on our porch homemade by Hank and they were Delicious. He made the best scone I’ve ever had! The breakfast each morning was perfect, also. If you’re stressed out, do it, do it now!!!
