Sonoran Sweet & Savory

We happened upon Sonora Sweet & Savory as we rolled through Ajo, AZ with an appetite. Spotting the specials board on the sidewalk, in we went, where we were warmly greeted by the proprietor. My mom and I had a nice breakfast, but my son was completely enamored by his French toast, which was decked out with REAL whipped cream and fresh berries. We felt at home and welcome while enjoying a good meal.

Sunrise burger was good! Crepes were good, but fillings lacked flavor. The Taco savory crepe was on the dry side.

Very nice little restaurant. The owner served us. The chef is a gourmet cook. Both very nice, down to earth people. Delicious food! This is a breakfast/ lunch place. I recommend it when passing through Ajo.

Loved this place, really cute restaurant and nice hosts. I got an enormous crepe and it came customizable, SO many homemade ingredients and it really shows in the taste. I got mine with spinach, bacon, sausage, provolone, and there was some herb-infused oil on top. Homemade batter, house made sausage, and a homemade iced tea. Nice visit to Ajo yesterday and the hosts even talked about history of the area and local tourist spots.

This perfect space packs a big punch. From the enthusiastic owners to the extensive menu, the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The menu includes both sweet and savory options, including gluten free. There are also 'build your own' options, so everyone can find something to suit their taste. My first try was the lemon tart with raspberry sauce. It was absolutely perfect, and the freshly made flavored whipping cream that accompanied it was so good that I could have eaten a bowl full on its own. On my second visit, I chose the pepperoni pizza. Imagine eating perfectly spiced toppings in light folds of crepe. The homemade sauce was divine. Of course I had to get a lemon tart crepe and whipped cream to go. Plan on leaving plenty full because these crepes are ample. They will also be servin
