Sheppard's Cottage Bed & Breakfast

We had such a lovely stay at Sheppard’s Cottage Bed & Breakfast. The hosts were thoughtful, kind, and so accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need - lending us chairs and towels for the beach, packing us muffins to go, and even letting us stay past checkout time and offering for us to use their showers at the end of our last day. We felt taken care of the whole time we were there. The animals are adorable and made for such a unique and special experience. The room was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. What a lovely couple and amazing property! Would definitely go back!

Sheppard's Cottage was a wonderful place to stay! The room was charming, the breakfast was delicious every morning, and the miniature horses were adorable and friendly.

We enjoyed our time here. It was a nice area & close enough to visit Newport as well. The room was very nice, it was perfect as no one had to share a bed with the Loft having 2 beds. Breakfast was always fresh & they had a fridge with water available. Another nice thing was able to use family room tv at night. Very friendly with nice stories if you sit & chat with them.

This place was just perfect for my family. We got there late at night, but the owner was so nice and waited for us to give us the room key. At first my husband and I were appalled by the dogs smell (so if you're like us, this place may not be for you), but we got used to it by the next day. In the morning Patty (aka Granny, according to my younger son) prepared a delicious breakfast consisting of (freshly picked from her chicken coop) scrambled eggs, zucchini and tomatoes grown in her garden, muffins and toast, turkey sausage, fresh tea and coffee, and fresh fruits. It was delicious! My older son said he was in heaven after playing with all the animals (2 cats, 4 dogs, chicken, ducks, a miniature horse- I'm sure I left someone out...). Such a cute place! Came here for a night to explore the area and this was a perfect accommodation. This place isn't fancy, but it's clean and the rooms are a nice size. There's breakfast in the morning and if you like animals, they've got dogs, horses, and a big flock of ducks and chickens. I'd come back!
