Brightside Seafood Market is an absolute gem, thanks to the incredible team of Mike and Meg! Their fish selection is unbeatable ~ halibut, swordfish, sablefish, steelhead trout, salmon, and scallops just to name a few we have tried ~ all impeccably sourced and expertly filleted.  Everything has been super fresh. The freezer section is equally impressive, with top-notch options like lobster meat, crabcakes, stuffies, and fish burgers (we loved the yellowfin tuna and swordfish versions).  They also have a variety of yummy appetizer options like smoked blue fish & smoked salmon, white fish dip, grilled shrimp, and bacon wrapped scallops ~ we have tried and can recommend them all! While camping and sightseeing nearby, we stopped in and picked up some absolutely beautiful black sea bass filets. Back at camp, we sautéed them in olive oil with sage and rosemary, and they were awesome! A spotless market with superior service and first-rate merchandise. If we ever find ourselves in the area in the future, we'll be sure to visit again.

I walked into Brightside looking for dinner and left feeling like I just went on a deep-sea adventure without the seasickness. The selection of fresh fish was so good and fresh, I swear some of them winked at me. From the perfectly pink salmon to the mussels that looked like they could have their own gym memberships, the seafood was top-notch👌🏻 Mike and Meg are absolute legends—they didn’t just sell fish, they give a mini masterclass on how to cook it! Meg even explained the fish anatomy to my son! The market was clean, organized, and didn’t smell like the bottom of the ocean, which is a win in a lot of people’s books! We randomly made our way to Brightside after a request from my out-of-town brother for fresh seafood to take back home and a trip to Rhode Island. We didn't want to go to a big city (Providence) and, honestly, Brightside had better reviews than any fish market in Providence! We were so thrilled with our experience there!! My brother got a wide selection of fish to take home and enjoy and the owner made sure to supply my brother with enough ice to make the journey. The selection of extras there like spices and sauces was on the small side, but carefully curated. I bought several spice blends and a soy sauce to try (they are DELICIOUS!!).
