Hands down my very favorite place to stay. The rooms are comfortable and fabulously decorated. There's a back deck that's lovely to unwind on and watch the sun go down. Walking distance to the beach and parking. Highly recommend. Unfortunately, the restaurant was not open when I was there but the menu looked great.
Dinner at the Surf Shack was easily one of the highlights of our weekend! We tried the short rib, skewers, and ramen—and each dish was packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere had that laid-back, coastal energy that makes you want to linger, and the service was attentive and genuinely friendly. Already looking forward to coming back for cocktails and more bites. Do yourself a favor and don’t skip this beachside gem. We also downed the Calamari, sorry not sorry no photos. We devoured it.
Was there as part of a larger group. We ordered mimosa and espresso martini with a cinnamon roll and eggs bennys. Drinks were ok, the cinnamon roll was raw, we sent that back. Eggs benny came out, the potatoes were cold, eggs overcooked and not enough sauce. It wasn’t that busy so don’t understand why the food was bad. Service was good
My wife and I recently returned to The Surf Shack and were pleasantly surprised by the new chef and updated menu — it’s clear there’s a fresh energy in the kitchen! We sat at the bar for dinner and were lucky to have the bartender as our guide for the night. She was friendly, attentive, and clearly takes great pride in crafting cocktails. My wife had a spicy mango margarita made with a chili-infused mango liquor that gave it a fun, spicy twist. I had a classic Negroni — perfectly balanced. We shared the tuna ceviche to start, which was incredibly fresh. For mains, my wife ordered the Pad Thai. While it wasn’t the traditional peanut-heavy version, it was light, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. I had the filet with portobello mushrooms and a sweet potato purée — rich, tender, and full
Brunch at the Surf Shack was one of three highlights of our weekend! If Jack Johnson Banana Pancakes had a vibe, this would be it. The environment is super fun, the service top notch, and the food is absolutely incredible. Looking forward to the next trip back for snacks and cocktails. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss out on this beachy treasure.
