Shah's Halal Food, Wallingford

Moving this from my “want to go” list to my “favorites” list! Delicious, flavorful food, friendly service, reasonable prices, healthy options available. What more could I want? Perfect for those weeknight dinners when I’ve worked too long to think about cooking. We both got half rice, half salad and the chicken and lamb combo. The green sauce (kind of like a chimichurri) was delicious too.

This was my first time trying Shah’s Halal Food, and I was genuinely impressed! This location is exceptionally clean and spacious, which made the experience even better. The customer service was outstanding—everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The owners and staff are incredibly kind and truly make you feel at home. I ordered the falafel with rice and veggies, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. The rice was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right, and the falafel was moist and full of flavor. The green sauce tied it all together—so tasty! I’ll definitely be coming back.

I tried Shah’s Halal Food in Wallingford today, and I liked it as usual! The food tastes great, the place looks clean, and the staff are really nice. It’s a new opening, but they’re definitely getting there. I’ll be coming back for sure.

I absolutely loved the chicken over rice from Shah’s! The chicken was tender, flavorful, and seasoned perfectly. The basmati rice was warm and fluffy, and the white and hot sauces took the whole platter to another level. Generous portions, great taste, and fast service — definitely a go-to spot.

Extremely clean and food was quick! The quality of the food won me over. We ordered chicken and rice, falafel and rice with hummus and a lamb gyro. My husband said it’s by far one of the best gyros he had. The green sauce with the falafel was sooooo good. The chicken was seasoned so well and had lots of flavor. Will definitely be back! Plus it’s open late! 5 star for me.
