Customer Reviews
Seoul Mates in Seattle absolutely knocked it out of the park. Taking over the former Gokan space, they’ve completely elevated the experience while keeping the soul of great Korean cuisine alive. From start to finish, everything was impressive. The galbijjim was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—rich, tender, deeply flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The bossam was just as memorable: beautifully cooked, melt-in-your-mouth pork paired with all the right accompaniments that brought every bite together. What really stood out was the consistency across the entire meal. The appetizers set the tone, the entrées exceeded expectations, and even dessert was thoughtfully executed and satisfying. It’s rare to be impressed at every stage of a meal, but Seoul Mates delivered on all fronts. If
Had a great time at Seoul Mates! There are a good variety of Korean food options like kalbi jim and Korean fried chicken. Want to try the bossam next time! The cocktails also looks really good. Beautiful interior design and friendly staff, would come back again!
The creamy udon with meat here seriously exceeded my expectations. The sauce is rich and creamy, but not overly heavy or greasy like typical Western cream sauces. It has a subtle Korean-style twist that makes it smooth and well balanced. 🍜 Udon noodles Thick, chewy, and perfectly cooked. The noodles hold onto the sauce really well, so every bite is full of flavor. 🥩 Meat The meat portion is generous and tender, not dry at all. It pairs nicely with the cream sauce without overpowering it. 🧄 Overall flavor Creamy, savory, and comforting without being too rich. The herbs and seasoning on top add a nice finishing touch, and it stays enjoyable all the way to the last bite. Definitely one of the better creamy udon dishes I’ve had in downtown Seattle. Would order again. 👍
Wonderful variety of Korean dishes with great flavors. Every dish was delicious! The place is spacious, perfect for big groups of parties and large windows that open up make the space feel fresh and inviting. Great location right on Capitol Hill! Just keep in mind that parking can be a bit tricky.
Best Korean restaurant I have ever been to in the Seattle area. It actually tastes like food from Seoul. The staff are nice and friendly, especially the owner, who constantly checks on customers and asks if they need anything else. If you want late night Korean food with little drink, visit Seoul Mate!
