Seattle Soul Kitchen

Great little takeout spot in West Seattle that operates from the Distinguished Foods kitchen along with other businesses. The seasoning of our catfish and chicken wings was on point. Just like being back in the south! The yams, mac & cheese, and collards were delicious. The only downside was the chicken wings were fried slightly too hard, but I’m assuming this may have been a one-time overcooking issue. We will definitely be back!

I Was looking for a place with good fried chicken - while I appreciate the food and what it’s bringing to west Seattle specifically, I’m not getting a wow experience BUT it is good. I got plain chicken wings and Mac n cheese. The chicken was easy to pull off with not too little and not too much meat on the bones though the after taste tasted like it was fried with the same oil from catfish and/or seafood. Mac and cheese not too bad but too much cheese for me I can hardly taste the noodles n seasonings used maybe that’s the point idk😩 otherwise when I’m craving, I would probably get it again as it is close by.

Food is AMAZING! Catering service is even better! The turkey bowl feels like the best of thanksgiving dinner. Chicken and waffles ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ highly recommend.

The catfish was perfect. The macaroni and cheese was delicious and that’s hard to come by. The greens were a little sweet, but I still enjoyed them. Last but at least I highly recommend the eggroll. I don’t even like him that much and I tore up. 😊

Catfish and gumbo were delicious. The wings and collard greens could use a little less salt though.
