Sausalito Library

Don’t let the other bigger libraries in Marin hold you back from visiting this hidden gem! I was very taken with the beautiful interior and the colorful paints chosen for the main library space. The spacious wooden tables and chairs looked so comfortable and inviting, especially being placed next to the big windows. It was a quiet atmosphere, despite being fairly populated. A puzzle was set out on one table, seeming to invite any interested passerby to take part in it. Staff at the desk were friendly and attentive- I had some questions which all got answered promptly and warmly- plus there was a little basket of plums from the backyard of the woman working the desk, which was so lovely of her to share. There’s great programming as well. I took a line dancing class for free down in the base

Such a fairy-tale library! The entrance is a bit tucked away, hidden inside the city hall building, but it’s worth finding. They even have vinyl records, and the children’s section is absolutely adorable!

It's a sweet little library with some pretty interesting materials regarding local history and the maritime world. Comfortable desks to work at and comfy chairs to sit in. The wifi is steady and fast. I've always found the staff to be very helpful.

Everything a public library should be. I love taking my 3 year old granddaughter to the self-enclosed “kiddie” room followed by checking out DVDs and books for myself. She is 3 and I am 80. Plenty of delightful items for us and all ages in between. PS: The staff is super friendly, kind, knowledgeable & helpful.

A small, old-fashioned, and intriguing Library -- hidden away in that small, intriguing, and charming hamlet of Sausalito, California. Fun place to BE and to explore. A good little Library, but a great historic government building here! Even a tiny History Museum. All nestled onto a hillside park. If you can even FIND it, you'll be glad you came!
