What a hidden gem this place is. I’ve lived in Stockbridge for 37 years and am delighted to find this place. I had the vegetable plate with collards, okra, squash casserole and Lima beans. All delicious and they had that come cooking taste! My husband had the pork chops and was very pleased with them! He’s picky! He had pinto beans and mashed potatoes with gravy. My husband wants to go back tomorrow.

My wife and I eat at Sarah's 2-3 times a month. I usually get a veggie plate, but my wife has tried just about everything on the menu with no bad experiences. Veggies are excellent - well seasoned but not too salty. The cornbread and desserts (banana pudding!) are also delicious. Friendly people serve you smiles along with the food. We used to go to Anne and Bill's restaurant in Forest Park, we tried several "meat & 3" restaurants before discovering Sarah's right here in our back yard. If you like home cooking, you need to try it.

Had gone to another restaurant, but was told they were closed due to catering job?? Thank goodness we searched online and found Sarah's Country Cooking. We ordered the fried chicken ( fries too hard for my taste), yams, pork chops( well seasoned) fried okra and mac N cheese ( tastes better than it looked). And for dessert we ordered their peach cobbler and slice of cake for cuz. Everything was well seasoned and tasty in deed. Glad we happened upon this restaurant and will stop in again when in the area.

Went today for the first time for lunch. They were busy and the service was very fast and friendly. The food was bland to me and veggies over cooked. It looked great and good portions and was hot and fresh. Just lacking in flavor . Had the pork chops w gravy, Mac and cheese, cabbage, cornbread and banana pudding.

Some of the best soul food I've ever had. I can't eat it everyday but I get by there at least Once a month sometimes twice a month. Today is a good day to stop by.
