Fairview Public Library

I power walk to different locations to study the scenery and architecture. Fairview was constructed with some details of the Classical Greek Revival style, like many buildings in southern states. The facade (front) has a triangular pediment, Doric columns (hard to tell), and a portico (porch). Interestingly, the building has two portals (doors): entry to a waiting area and an entry to the main area. Beautiful. Inside: The main area was ordered and neat; clean restrooms; updated computers, all in a quiet and peaceful environment. The manager and assistant were helpful, respectful, and readily available to provide help when asked. For example, I needed to call for pickup and they graciously allowed me to call several times.

The branch as a whole is beautiful, if maybe a touch old, and the tween program was wonderful; the young woman leading it did a phenomenal job. Unfortunately both of the ladies in the children's section at 5:30 Monday afternoon were horrible. If we come back to this branch it will only be for programs. The ones at checkout in the children's section made it a pretty miserable experience that I would like to never repeat.

I was treated poorly at this library and my children. I was blamed for a book that my home didnt damage. I had pictures to show when the book was dropped off at another branch it was fine. I was still charged the 40 bucks for the book. I paid the book fee and decided to follow up with why I was treated disrespectfully and nastily. I was told I would recieve the book . I waited over a mth and didnt hear from anyone. So 8 weeks later I asked where the book was. I was then told I would be refunded the 40 bucks. Still no follow up to WHY I was treated so nastily. Another month later I didnt recieve the refund. A Jennifer Parrot said I would have a check mail to me in another 6 weeks. I told her it was never about the money but how I and my children was treated. I told them keep the check. How

The librarians had a list of activities and entertainment for the children. Such a wonderful site to see children learning and interacting with the librarians. The puppet show is what is most memory for my son. Thank you ladies for the time and thought that was put into the day!

Very friendly and helpful staff. The library itself is very organized and clean, and perfectly quiet. There’s a very comfortable reading area and plenty of tables for more concentrated reading. I was happy to renew my Pines membership and make this location my home library. As a writer, you cannot find a safer haven than a library. I’m soon to be looking at ways I can contribute to this location as a patron and a believer in the power of reading. Cheers.
