This is a place where you go in, pick a spot, then you're waited on, pay at the counter. I was in the mood for some spicy ramen and the spicy shoyu tonkotsu ramen hit the spot that day. I was given water, but no refills, not great when you get a spicy dish. However, the value isn't there, especially if you get the karaage, $8 for four medium size pieces of chicken. For ramen, a side, and tip, it was $33, one of my most expensive lunches in the U district.
First issue was probably ordering this as a delivery order. Noodles are always better fresh. BUT they did a great job packaging. The kaarage was really nice crispy. Loved the chili sauce it came with. The takoyaki was a little too soft for me, but it was due to steam from the package. The noodle type was not my favorite but I am glad I gave it try to know now. I loved the soft boiled egg. I think this would be a better place to go into and enjoy for sure. I did appreciate the different options for soup bases. Give it a go but in person.
A great staple at the u district they have daily specials with great value. Can’t go wrong with anything in this restaurant the food is great, service is quick and it’s affordable. Highly recommended. My favorite is the samurai bowl try it
I liked this spot fairly well. One thing that I will say was the noodles were a little thin for my liking. However the broth definitely makes up for it. I got the tonkatsu ramen and the broth was so creamy and the taste was so phenomenal. The service was solid as well as the atmosphere. We went during a super nice and quiet time of the day where it felt super calm within the building. Overall would definitely recommend coming here.
Well priced, tasty, and great service. Will come again! Great vegan options too! Cheap sake that tastes good 😌 Make sure you have enough friends if you commit to a bottle!
