Ry's Poke Shack

Always incredible. We had a 2 Poke bowl and a 1 bowl. All 3 Poke were from the Specials menu - Cajun (our favorite if you like mayo sauce), Firecracker, Papa Bid’s (lemongrass - very Thai - so unusual and so very good!). Ry always so friendly and welcoming and his whole family there working so hard. We just made it before they ran out around 2pm on Sunday so get there early. The best.

This experience was just WOW, and not in a good way. We got there on a Sunday just before 12:30 and there was a line of maybe about 10 people. We didn't think it would take long but boy were we wrong. It was a 40-minute wait just to order. We ordered the Tsunami Poke Nachos (fresh shoyu poke, sweet onion, sesame, avocado sauce, chili mayo, unagi sauce, furikake, green onions, crab salad, pickled cucumbers, and tobiko). This took another 15 minutes. I don't know if they were just backed up or maybe they were cutting up the fish back there, but they mentioned they had just reopened and this was their first day back. Absolutely delicious. Ryan's poke illustrates the definition of five stars Google review. We stopped here for the fist time almost by accident. It is located on a large food trucks field (you will find plenty of seating space). We were picky for the best choice and this is how we decided to eat here for the first time. During our 5 day stay in O'ahu we ate here four times altogether and we already miss it. The fish (yellowfin tuna, ahi) is so delicious, it is fresh, it is cut and seasoned in a moment you order > this made the 50% of our experience. Other 50% were Ry, his wife and as we learnt the whole family <3 they are engaged and welcoming we felt like their friends from the very first moment. Best meal of my life! The ahi melts in your mouth and the flavors are unreal! Generous portions, as fresh as it gets, one hundred percent get the crab salad add on. Such a friendly and inviting atmosphere. It’s an absolute must when visiting the food trucks on the North Shore! 100/10 nooooo notessss

Delicious poke, huge portions. Must get the poke nachoes. Ry treats all his customers like familt will make you feel like you’re been there even for the first time.
