Rosalita's Backyard Tacos

This delicious taco place is a must-visit in NOLA. The sauces provided added a nice kick to the tacos! There was limited seating on the inside but I didn’t get a chance to check out the outdoor seating. I was fascinated by the prettily colored wall art 🙌

8.5/10 I didn’t care for how the price for each taco was at the time. There were some complex flavors, but most of the seasoning was basic. The atmosphere was nice especially the back patio area and the staff were nice and patient when trying to figure out what I should get.

Nice Tacos but highlights were the shrimp tamales and brisket empanadas, along with the great selection of sauces. Topped nachos were fine. Really enjoyed the watermelon margarita, so refreshing. Lovely outdoor space in the yard and very quick service. Can't wait to return to try more of the empanadas

:: sigh:: I’m really sad to write this but… THESE WERE THE WORST TACOS IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. What’s even more disheartening, is that I’ve lived in New Orleans for a year and never EVER had a bad food experience. Mind you- I have eaten out everyday for almost 365 days. NOLA is known for its always fresh & super tasty foods. These tacos caught me by surprise. I mean clutch pears - surprised. I spent $15 for 3 tacos (no drink included). The tacos itself tasted like the entire thing was deep fried in vegetable oil. The backyard was cute tho & by the reviews it looks like the drinks might be a go. The tacos tho??? NO BUENO. Dolly enjoyed the sunshine ☀️😁

Rosalita's Backyard Tacos is my favorite taco spot in the city. Their tacos are fantastic, the margaritas are delicious, and I love the little salsa bar options. Plenty of space for outdoor seating -- perfect for a pretty day.
