Customer Reviews
We loved this place! Highly recommend their Uni & Seafood Creamy Udon and Bara Chirashi Donburi. Their fish was very fresh and nice quality. Creamy Udon was exactly the taste I would imagine. Portion was also very good, worth the price. I would recommend making a reservation before going there. They have parking spots reserved for their guests.
Rondo has a very chill and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for hanging out with friends. My friend and I tried the Rainbow Uni Shooter and Uni Hand Roll, the uni was great quality and tasted really fresh. For the main dish, I had the Bara Chirashi Donburi and Amabi was so good. Everything was delicious and the fish was very fresh. The staff were friendly and provided great service. Overall, it was a great experience.
I really enjoyed my visit to Rondo Japanese Kitchen. The service was quick, polite, and always smiling. Every dish we tried was tasty, well-seasoned, and fresh. The restaurant has a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for both intimate dinners and group gatherings. If you’re looking for great Japanese food with great service in Seattle, this is the place to go!
The Deluxe Matcha Parfait was the highlight and absolutely worth ordering. Vanilla ice cream topped with matcha sauce, a layer of matcha pudding, and crunchy bits underneath made it well balanced and interesting. The pink sugar balls were overly sweet, but the matcha cookie was subtle and enjoyable. Main dishes were disappointing. The Bara-Chirashi Donburi was extremely salty, masking any fish freshness, with very little sashimi for the price. The Wagyu Bolognese was decent but again too salty, better if lightly mixed with less sauce. Overall, this visit was underwhelming. Compared to last year, prices seem higher while quality has slipped. Not sure if the menu changed or I ordered wrong, but expectations were not met this time.
Went to Rondo in Capitol Hill for restaurant week, and the experience started the moment we had to deal with parking. Coming from the suburbs, parking is always part of the equation, and we ended up paying since nothing clearly indicated whether free parking was available. If there was a free option, I wish that information were more visible for first-time visitors. Once we got inside, things got much better. The food was something new for us, and surprisingly, everything tasted great. Since it was restaurant week, the value made the experience even more worth it. The interior had a cool, modern vibe that made the dinner feel fun and different from the usual spots. Service and pacing felt smooth, and the whole visit had a positive energy to it. Overall, despite the parking guesswork, Rondo
