Shipped cheese and lefse to south Florida in a priority envelope delivered to our mailbox. The items were melted and warm. Not safe to consume. Told me I should have read details about shipping. Proceeded to insult me and refuse to take responsibility for the shipping problem. Dishonest, rude and products shipped become a health risk. Items clearly say “keep refrigerated”. A cardboard envelope isn’t appropriate.

Received a note from shipper that they could not locate the order. After some help from management, the order showed up, the head cheese, disznosajt - arrived It was SUPER!!! ABSOLUTELY, SUPER!! Just like in O Buda, in Budapest. Thanks to the chef!!

This year, I could not find L’Oven Fresh (ALDI’s brand) Butter Almond Stollen in any of the local Aldi stores. Our local Aldi has offered this for several years, but not this year. When I saw it on EBay, I ordered two loaves. After receiving it, I contacted ALDI’s corporate office and asked them why this Butter Almond Stollen was not offered in their stores this year, but was offered for sale, with their brand and label at a privately owned store. The informed me that they did offer it at their store as THEY DID NOT MAKE IT THIS YEAR. They informed me to check the use by date…it had been removed from the package. Great variety and lots to choose from, but a few red flags. I picked up a rack of lamb and only realized at home that the sell-by date had expired a couple of months ago. Also got a dry-aged steak, but they left the inedible bark on. The guy behind the counter was friendly, but definitely on the pushy side. Worth browsing for the selection alone, but inspect your items carefully.

Nice Little place to grab some seafood and meats. They carry wild game meats and seafood. They also have a little section of international types of foods that you can't find at your local grocery store. They offer perogies in many different flavors. If you're hungry, they offer foods you can order either to go or sit and eat inside. They do not have a restroom! Items and the food they are a bit expensive but then, they carry wild game and seafood. I found the place a bit cramped. If they were busy, it would be hard to maneuver a stroller or wheelchair in there.
