E. Kellogg Bed & Breakfast

My niece was having a baby, so our timetable was fluid, but that was not a problem. Our hostess, Kathy, was understanding and accommodating. The B&B is lovely, a nice dining room, a separate parlor area for reading or TV (plus TV in the rooms), and little wonderful touches throughout. Our room was at the top of the stairs (The Ladd Room), and had a private bath (not all rooms have private baths). It was May so the night temperatures were chilly, but we had an in room heater that worked fine. The bed was huge and very comfy. The room, linens and bathroom were spotlessly clean.The place was so quiet that my husband and I even mentioned it as we got ready for bed. Kathy could not have been more accommodating for breakfast. My husband and I stayed at the E. Kellogg Bed and Breakfast for three nights in October 2016. It is a beautiful home. Kathy the owner is a lovely woman who made us feel right at home. Room was very comfortable and breakfasts were delicious. We enjoyed the lengthy chats we had with Kathy and her other guests. Kathy knows her area well. We were there to do some antiquing and she sent us to places we would not have found without her. She also helped us decide on local restaurants and towns to see. We will differently be back.

This is a hidden gem in a beautiful part of Pennsylvania. Kathy Schloesser is a wonderful host and takes care of all your needs. The rooms are very generous in size, and the porch and backyard are great places to hang out to read, work, and relax. This is a very historical home, and Kathy appreciates its charm and lets it speak for itself, although she is a font of knowledge about thie histor of the area. The breakfasts are sumptuous, and Kathy clearly enjoys preparing these wonderful meals. The service is overall was excellent. Our week stay was wonderful, and we plan to return again.

My wife and I had an outstanding experience at E. Kellogg Bed & Breakfast while in the Honesdale, PA area for a family wedding. Kathy, the owner, hostess, cook, and "mom" goes out of her way to exceed expectations. She was ready with recommendations of local restaurants, sites to see, and a terrific knowledge of how those sites came to be. ||||We stayed 3 nights in the Ladd room which was plenty spacious for a couple. The bedding/quilts on the bed made for a great night sleep - in fact my wife mentioned getting a more restful sleep during our stay at E. Kellogg than in any time over the past several weeks. ||||The breakfasts were outstanding. Kathy was accommodative to whatever time preference suited our needs.
