Riviera Maya offers tasty Peruvian cuisine with some standout dishes, but the overall dining experience is affected by slow and inattentive service. Walking into Riviera Maya, we stood waiting at the host stand for a minute with no one in sight, which set the tone for the service. Once seated, we waited around 10 minutes before anyone took our order. The server took our menus before we even had the chance to confirm what we wanted, which felt rushed and a bit unprofessional. After placing our order, the food came out about 10 minutes later. The food itself was solid. We ordered tacu tacu—a seafood dish served over rice in a rich sauce—and I had the 8oz steak with rice, fries, plantains, egg, peppers, and a few stalks of asparagus. The food and service is amazing. The paella is delicious and the drinks are so good. Everyone else said their food was very good. The staff is so attentive, celebrated my birthday and it was amazing.

It's okay. I mean the food is delicious, a huge menu but what i dont like is the dark lighting and also they're waiter service is ridiculous slow. I was kinda bummed about this because the 3 times we have gone it seems to be the same type of service... slow.

This was a fun spot to stop for great Mexican food on our way to Maine. Nice outdoor patio in the hub of downtown with very friendly, attentive staff, and happy atmosphere. Complementary delicious chunky salsa and chips! Yummy!!! Margaritas were delicious!!!

Love the atmosphere here. Food and drinks are good. Live music some nights. Waitress should be a bit more attentive to customers when they first arrive. On several occasions I had to find my own table to sit then hunt the waitress down to take my order. Other then that's is a very nice place to have dinner. Great place for couples or big groups.
