Rivera's Mexican Taqueria

Unexpected, great little taqueria in Hartford City! Loaded tacos, with everything fresh and high quality. The self serve salsa bar is a definite plus, with homemade salsas, pickled onions, radish and pico de gallo. This will be our regular stop when we pass through. As others have mentioned, nice decor and clean. No complaints from us.

Boyfriend and I met up here before work and we were cautious at first because it didn’t look like much on the outside. The inside was very clean and decorated nicely. We ordered at the front register and they brought the food out to us. I ordered 3 tacos de carnitas, he got the quesabirrias, and we got a carnitas torta to share. Portions were great and the food was phenomenal. One of the best tacos de carnitas I’ve ever had! They also had a sauce bar where you could get your own and we thought that was such an interesting touch. 10/10 would recommend and we will be coming back!

What an awesome Taqueria located in Hartford City! The birria tacos with consommé dip really hit the spot and this is a normal menu item. The salsa and toppings bar let you try many different items that you maybe have not had before. The Michelada is made on the spot with awesome toppings including a shrimp. Chips are not included with orders so you will need to order them separately if you like. I can't wait to try more menu items soon.

Excited that we found this hidden gem! The food is authentic and delicious. I’m from Texas and this location is the only place in Indiana that compares to how good and authentic Mexican restaurants should be. Very clean and well maintained. The staff were very polite and friendly. I would 100% recommend.
